Nice article. F50 took me back about 13 years when I migrated from a e30 to the F50. Good times

Often the old hardware and OS is kept alive because of the installed "old" application that cannot be replaced and/or which vendor is no longer around.
Still, it would be nice to patch AIX without the downtime, which I heard announced a few weeks ago - this is the stuff I love and cannot wait for.
