While we're all DB2 for z/OS professionals here, we also spend considerable time with desktop computers. With that in mind, I want share some news that has this loyal Mac user stoked: IBM just released a beta version of DB2 Express-C for Mac.
I've been a Mac fan since purchasing an Apple laptop for my daughter some years back. In fact I tried to get a Mac when I recently had to upgrade my work laptop, but my request was denied because IT didn't want to support it. Still, between Microsoft Vista's numerous and well-publicized problems and the fact that every Linux developer I talk to loves Macs, I think in a few years we'll all be using them. And I'm really excited to see that DB2 is now an option for Mac developers. Great job, IBM!

I, too, am looking forward on getting installed and running it through it's paces.

I'm really interest in that possibility but my os version is the lion, and the current db2c version is for snow leopard. Hopping IBM releases a new one soon!!
