Arcati Mainframe Yearbook 2011

The Arcati Mainframe Yearbook for 2011 is now available.

This is a great resource, whether you're new to the mainframe or you're one of us dinosaurs. The yearbook provides the following:

•    Glossary of terminology
•    Charts showing the history of operating system name changes
•    List of user groups to grow your network of mainframe professionals
•    List of social media resources
•    List of magazines dedicated to mainframe
•    Hardware Listing showing model numbers and MIPS
•    List of mainframe vendors with company profiles along with product listings
•    Mainframe User Survey – profile, plans and priorities of mainframe users

I found the mainframe user survey's discussion on growth in MIPS and integration with Java and Web services to be very interesting. I highly recommend taking a few minutes to download and read through the Arcati Mainframe Yearbook. And for those who have gone through it, please register your thoughts in Comments. I'm particularly interested in responses to the survey and how what's discussed compares to your own company's mainframe strategies.
