For the new redbook, I hope you review your articles "10 Things Every RPG Programmer Should Know" (esp. reason 5) and "3 Good Reasons To Stop Writing Subroutines".

I found your 2010 article "Big Changes for RPG in IBM i 7.1" and it has a solution I have been looking for. (Similar code is on pg 551 of the V7R1 RPG Reference sc092508.) The %lookup for data structures is okay for a key-value data structure but I was hoping for one more feature which I found when I happened to look at the old Sorcerer's Guide and see that bsearch is what I was looking for.
